Biography
Liz Black is a professional artist and art tutor. She
specialises in watercolour and pencil drawing, however
she is also equally happy working with acrylics, inks,
watercolour pencils, lino-cuts etc. Her range of work
is diverse and in the past has been commissioned for murals,
textile designs, book and brochure illustrations, logos
and portraits. There are very few subjects that she has
not been asked to produce work for!
Liz trained as a graphic designer
in the late eighties, but got more involved with illustration
and art work rather than design projects. Her background
in design is useful when doing work such as logos which
have to be considered within a design concept.
Liz also runs a successful art
club in Nottingham, at which she demonstrates a variety
of drawing and painting techniques and assists members
with their personal projects. She also runs one day
workshops and does demonstrations for local art groups.
Liz realises that for many people, art is as much a
therapeutic activity as it is a learning experience,
so her approach to teaching is relaxed and informal,
but informative.
If you require any more
